Anaal Nathrakh has done their best album so far in their career.

Tenth album called "A new Kind of Horror" from Birmingham, U.K. based band Anaal Nathrakh, has arrived like a stampede with its classic Industrial Black Metal dyed in its particular Grindcore style. This album grabs one of the most heart-wrenching world events that marked humanity and compiles all those feelings of anguish, fear and deep pain that brought World War I with itself, where hope meant everything and was the privilege for some. Anaal Nathrakh takes all that inspiration, from the battlefields, the bloody trenches and the inhuman use of chemical weapons for the first time, to give it shape with its unique style.

Anaal Nathrakh manages to majestically capture some of the most terrifying details in the history of wars, musically speaking in my opinion they surpass everything they had done previously or maybe it is only the lyrical content that moves the most sensitive fibers and makes you feel vulnerable. The album opens with a short but subtle intro "The Road to ..." which serves very well to receive "Obscene as Cancer" and immediately overwhelms you with its chaotic speed is full of riff and tremolo melodies, another great theme is "Forward!" with a deliberate use of a single-shot rifle, disturbing and dark lyrics and poisonous pace, next is "New Bethlehem / Mass Death Futures" by far! I feel that it is the best lyrical interpretation of the album with growls, screeches and symphonic vocals that are all combined in an excellent way, "The Horrid Strife" hooks you with a solid guitar riff to create a dark emotion, the last track is "Are We Fit for Glory Yet? (The War to End Nothing)" with an operatic arrangements and exuberant choirs they confront the atrocities without fear.

Arguably many will crucify "A New Kind of Horror" explaining how generic they sound by comparing to their latest albums. Everyone has their own opinion, mine is simple and honest. Anaal Nathrakh has done their best album so far in their career; structured with great riffs, brutal blast beats; with good industrial samples attached, grindcore-ish speed, excellent lyrics, also with an orchestration and choral beyond reproach, a very dynamic production, ending as the best album within its style.

Stay True… Stay Metal… Stay Brutal…
